Small groups, off screens and out the door
Small groups of 3 to 6 people with 1 or 2 of our support workers, getting out and about across southern Adelaide. Groups start once enough people register interest, and days and times are set with the group, starting with weekday daytimes. Register interest, no obligation.

Places are examples only. Each group goes where suits the people in it.
Community BBQ and kick-to-kick
A bigger get-together at a local park: a barbecue and a kick of the footy. We add workers to keep about 1 worker to every 3 people. BBQ food is on us: let us know any dietary requirements and we are happy to accommodate them.
- Suits: Anyone who wants to meet our team and other people, with no obligation.
- Good to know: Support hours for the worker time still apply under the NDIS.
Coast walk and coffee
An easy walk by the sea, for example the Hallett Cove boardwalk or the Christies Beach esplanade, then a coffee together.
- Suits: Anyone who likes fresh air, a chat and a gentle pace.
- Builds: Fitness, routine and easy conversation.
Kick-to-kick and footy skills
Kicking, marking and handballing at a local park, at your own level.
- Suits: Footy fans, beginners welcome.
- Builds: Fitness, teamwork and a step towards inclusive local footy.
Jetty fishing
A morning on the jetty, for example at Port Noarlunga or Brighton: baiting up, casting and waiting for a bite.
- Suits: Patient types and first-timers alike.
- Builds: Patience, focus and new skills outdoors.
Get-around confidence
Learning the buses and trains together and handling money on outings, one trip at a time.
- Suits: People who want to get around without a lift.
- Builds: Independence and confidence out in the community.
Tech-free hangout
Off the phone and out together, for example ten-pin bowling, mini golf or board games.
- Suits: Anyone who wants to meet people and have a laugh.
- Builds: Social skills, friendships and turn-taking.
Budget friendly means the activity itself costs little or nothing. Support hours are still claimed from your NDIS plan.
Simple, shared and local
Shared cost
About $24.53 an hour per person in a group of three on weekdays (NDIS price limit for group community participation), compared with $73.58 an hour one-to-one. Entry costs such as ten-pin bowling or mini golf are paid by the participant.
Who can join
Plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. Your plan manager pays our invoice, or you pay us and claim it back.
When groups start
Once enough people register for a group, we call everyone to agree a day and time. Weekday daytime groups start first.
Refer a friend
Know someone who would enjoy it? Refer a friend. Each group runs once it fills, and the NDIS price is shared between the people in the group, so the cost per person is lower in a bigger group. Group size is matched to each person’s needs: no one is put in a bigger group than suits them. We plan for about 1 worker to every 3 people.
| Group size | Per person, about |
|---|---|
| 1 worker to 2 people | $36.79 |
| 1 worker to 3 people | $24.53 |
| 1 worker to 4 people | $18.40 |
| 1 worker to 5 people | $14.72 |
| One-to-one, for comparison | $73.58 |
The group price limit is the one-to-one limit ($73.58 an hour) divided by the number of people in the group. Entry costs are extra and paid by the participant.
Tell us which groups you would join
